Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam director Ponram's upcoming film MGR Magan starring Sasikumar and Mirnalini Ravi in the lead has been waiting to release for quite sometime now. The movie which has been censored with a clean U. will now hit theater screens on April 23, 2021.

Set against the backdrop of Theni, MGR magan will see Sathyaraj play a character named MG Ramasamy, Sasikumar his son, actress Saranya as MGR's wife and Samuthirakani as MGR's brother-in-law.
