Priyanka Chopra Jonas was all of 20 and fresh off wining beauty pageant titles when she made her debut into movies with the 2002 Tamil-Indian film Thamizhan. Her first co-star Vijay, known affectionately to the Tamil audience as 'Thalapathy' seems to have left a lasting impression on the actress, who has since not appeared in any Tamil movies.

Almost two decades earlier when Priyanka was only Piryanka Chopra and her co-star 'Ilaya Thalapathy' (younger version of his current affectionate name), the actress was won over by Vijay's 'humility' and 'generosity'. The impression must have been deep for she chose to pen about it in her recent memoir Unfinished.

In the same book where Chopra-Jonas writes about the multiple unjust and heart-breaking incidents she endured in the show-biz, the actress says this of Vijay while recalling the time Indian fans visited her on the sets of her debut Hollywood show, Quantico:

"Vijay’s humility and his generosity with fans made a lasting impression on me. As I stood and took pictures with them through my lunch break, I thought about my very first co-actor ever and the example he’d set."
