As is known, actor Dhanush will soon be leaving the country to begin shooting for his Hollywood venture The Gray Man. The actor has been seen wrapping his local commitments before that and one of them is dubbing for Karnan.

Dhanush is expected to finish his dubbing portions by today and Karnan will continue with the rest of post-production before its scheduled April release.

It is also being said that the movie is looking at releasing on April 9, 2021 though an official confirmation on the release date is still awaited.

Directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by V Creations, Karnan is based on the on caste riot that took place in Kodiyankulam in 1991. The film's audio rights were recently bagged for a record price by Think Music India.
