Vaadivaasal, a movie adaptation of a C.S. Chellappa novel of the same name has been in the works to be directed by Vetrimaaran, produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations and starring Suriya in the lead. Latest update on this project is that it is all set to begin shooting from July 2021.

Vaadivaasal also plans to release by April 2022 in movie theaters and an official announcement on the rest of the cast and crew can be expected anytime soon.

The movie will be based on the theme of 'Jallikattu' and Suriya is expected to be seen in dual roles, playing two generation of bull tamers.
