Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya which catapulted internet sensation Naveen Polishetty to Tollywood fame is coming to Tamil as a remake and actor Santhanam is said to be reprising the role of 'Agent Athreya' from the original.

Vanjagar Ulagam director Manoj Beedha is said to be helming the remake, which will also star actress Riya Suman as the female lead.

An official announcement on the movie is expected to be made soon and the Tamil remake will go on floors post that. A black comedy thriller, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya was written by Swaroop RSJ and Naveen Polishetty and turned out to be one of the highly successful films of 2019.

The film follows the story of a private detective whose life runs into danger, when he investigates the case of an abandoned dead body.
