Director Vivek whose Tamil film Boxer with Arun Vijay is still in production, had announced a new film this year titled Quotation Gang which was touted to be a multilingual release. Priyamani was announced as the female lead of the movie and she was said to play the role of a contract killer.

Now, director Vivek has announced that actress Sara Arjun who has appeared as a child-artiste in films like Deiva Thirumagal and Saivam has been roped in to play a 'bold role' that appears throughout the movie. "She plays a college student who is on a mission to take revenge. It is a very intense and mature character.", the director told the TOI.

Quotation Gang will begin shooting at Mumbai from December 2020 and will be releasing Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The team plans to shoot a small portion in Chennai and aims for a 2021 release.
