Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam director Ponram's upcoming film MGR Maganwhich stars Sasikumar,  Sathyaraj and Mirnalini Ravi in the lead has recently cleared censor formalities and the movie has been certified a clean U. The team has released a trailer from the film on the occasion of Diwali.

Set against the backdrop of Theni, MGR magan will see Sathyaraj play a character named MG Ramasamy, Sasikumar his son, actress Saranya as MGR's wife and Samuthirakani as MGR's brother-in-law.
