It was recently revealed that Netflix's upcoming Tamil anthology which is directed by Gautham Menon, Vetrimaaran, Sudha Kongara and Vignesh Shivn has been titled Paava Kathaigal and the OTT original will soon have a teaser/trailer release. The directors have been seen promoting the film post the announcement and it was revealed that Paava Kathaigal will be based on the theme of honour killing.

The theme of the anthology according to Netflix is how “love, pride and honour influence complex relationships”, whereas Vetrimaaran who accepted to have pioneered the theme has also been quoted as saying, "Who said it is based on honour-killing?. It is Paava Kathaigal (tales of sin). That's all"

The anthology produced by RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment stars Anjali, Sai Pallavi, Simran, Kalki Koechlin, Prakash Raj, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj among others and Gautham Menon plays a role as well.
