Besides teaming-up as producers on the National award winning film Kaaka Muttai, Vetrimaaran has directed Dhanush in four major films of the actor's career - Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Vada Chennai and Asuran. Now the duo is all set to team up once again for the fifth time, and producer Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment has confirmed that he is bankrolling the project.

While RS Infotainment and Vetrimaaran announced their collaboration back in October, 2019, it was understood that this team-up is for a film with comedian Soori. Initially Vetrimaaran was supposed to begin Asuran sequel post the film with Soori. However, the director recently confirmed his line-up as Vaadivaasal with Suriya, a film with R.S. Infotainment and then a project with Vijay.  

So it remains to be seen if Vetrimaaran's immediate film with R.S. Infotainment will be with Dhanush or it is an added project to the one they already have in plan.
