Monica, the second single from Rajinikanth starrer Coolie that gives a shout-out to Italian glam sensation Monica Belluci, is out now. An Anirudh Ravichander composition, Monica features a special appearance by Pooja Hegde, and the actress has lit up the dance floor, alongside Soubin Shahir who plays 'Dayal' in the movie. 

Coolie second single Monica has lyrics by Vishnu Edavan, vocals by Sublahshini, Anirudh Ravichander, and rap by Asal Kolaar. Besides the shout-out to Monica Belluci, the song also references Pooja Hegde herself, and iconic Rajinikanth films like Baasha (1995), and Chandramukhi (2005). Rajinikanth played the evil 'Vettaiyan' king in the flashback of Chandramukhi, and the character's signature 'laka laka laka' is incorporated in the Monica song. 

Coolie written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is a big budget, multi-starrer action thriller that is all set to release in theaters on August 14, 2025 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and in Hindi under the title Coolie: The Powerhouse. Gold and gold smuggling have been hinted as major themes in this Sun Pictures production.

Coolie also stars Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Shruthi Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, among others. Monica like Coolie's first single Chikitu, has choreography by Sandy. Coolie meets Bollywood production War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR at the Independence day box-office.
