Only recently actor Vijay Antony announced that a first look for his upcoming movie will be unveiled on July 24, 2020 and said that the movie will be a sequel to one of his earlier hits. While buzz is that this film will be Pichaikkaran 2, sequel to the actor's 2016 movie Pichaikkaran, latest update is that Vijay Antony himself has written the screenplay for it.

Also it is being said that director Priya Krishnaswamy, who won a National Award for her movie Baaram in 2019 will be helming this project. An official confirmation on the same is however awaited. If true, Pichaikkaran 2 will be Vijay Antony's 10th film production under his home banner.
