Only recently it was buzzed that Suriya is expected to begin Vaadivaasal with director Vetrimaaran once filming is allowed in the Tamil movie industry. Now, reports suggest that the actor will be seen in a double role in the movie, playing both the roles of a father and son. 

It is also said that there is a scene in the movie where the father character dies while taming the bull (movie is based on the bull-taming sport of Jallikattu) and though senior actors like Sathyaraj and Rajkiran were considered for this role, it is likely that Suriya will end up doing it. 

An official confirmation on the same is however awaited. Vaadivaasal has G.V. Prakash for music and is based on a 1949 C.S. Chellappa novel of the same name. The book is said to be a masterful account of not only the traditional sport but also the people who engaged in it.
