Following the foot-steps of actor-musician Vijay Antony, director Hari has volunteered to take a 25% paycut from his upcoming film Aruvaa which stars Suriya in the lead and is produced by Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green. Aruvaa is Hari's 6th project with actor Suriya and his decision to agree to only 75% of his salary comes at a time when film productions have been stalled due to Coronavirus COVID-19 and the movie-economy going for a toss due to lockdown and quarantine during the pandemic. 

On his decision Hari released a statement that read, "Film industry and the people depending on it can flourish only when the producers are doing well. Keeping in mind the current damages caused by the coronavirus, I have decided to reduce 25% of my salary for Aruvaa." His film has Raashi Khanna playing female lead with Imman for music.
