Following celebrities like Suriya, Rajinikanth, Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi, actress Nayanthara has made a generous donation of Rs. 20 lakh towards  the relief of daily wage workers under the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI). Nayanthara's donation has followed fellow actress Aishwarya Rajesh's who had a few days ago donated Rs. 1 lakh towards FEFSI's relief fund. 

It is worth mentioning here that due to the halt in film production till April 14, 2020, the daily wage workers of the Tamil film industry are being helped through FEFSI. Many actors and producers have donated rice bags and other essentials that are needed to go about their daily life.
