Superstar Rajinikanth has responded to the controversy triggered by remarks made by Aadhav Arjuna, choosing a measured tone while expressing gratitude to those who supported him.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Rajinikanth said the TVK leader’s comments about him were “contrary to the truth.” He went on to thank several political leaders across parties who spoke out in his support, including Edappadi K Palaniswami, Nainar Nagendran, L Murugan, S Raghupathy, Thol Thirumavalavan, SP Velumani, K Annamalai, Anbumani Ramadoss, GK Vasan, and John Pandian, among others.
He also acknowledged support from the film industry and media, including Ameer, G Dhananjayan, Nakkheeran Gopal, and Rangaraj Pandey. Rajinikanth reserved special mention for his fans, calling them the “deities who sustain” him.
The controversy stems from Aadhav Arjuna’s speech at a recent protest, where he alleged that the ruling party had threatened Rajinikanth when he considered entering politics—remarks that drew widespread criticism online.
Concluding his statement, Rajinikanth delivered a cryptic line: “Time does not speak, but it waits and delivers the answer.”
