Karthi is Kamal; Santhanam is Rajini

Karthi's Saguni is progressing well with its shoot and it is slated to hit the screens by Jan 2012 for Pongal. It is made bilingual (Tamil & Telugu). Karthi dons the role of a wannabe Politician & this film is said to be a racy commercial entertainer.

This film will also have Santhanam in a very important character to provide comic relief to the audiences. Currently, the unit is shooting a comedy sequence where Santhanam is impersonating Rajnikanth and Karthi as Kamal Haasan. We hear that this sequence has come out extremely well and the scenes involving the two are expected to bring the house down.

The latest we hear from the film circles is that Actress Anushka has also agreed to do a very important guest appearance in the film.
