Movie Theaters in Kerala to shut down due to Coronavirus!

With the increasing number of Coronavirus cases in Kerala, India Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has called for a shut-down of movie theaters till March 31, 2020 and the state's producers, distributors and exhibitors have decided to honour the request.

The 12 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the state has also resulted in the postponement of scheduled releases such as Mohanlal’s Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea,  Tovino Thomas's Kilometers by Kilometers and also delay in shoots of films like Mammootty's The Priest. A review meeting is to be be held by the Mollywood stake-holders on March 16, 2020 for a re-assessment on the decision.

Not just in Kerala but movie-releases all over India have been on the hold-out due to the recent epidemic but this is the first time, a total moviedom has come to a literal grinding halt.
