We had reported earlier that director Sudha Kongara has been almost finalized as the director of Thalapathy 65, actor Vijay's next after Master. Latest on that front or atleast what the buzz suggests is that though Vijay is impressed with the director's narration and has watched a few rushes of her upcoming release Soorarai Pottru, he has decided to wait before finalizing her as his next director.

Word is that Vijay wishes to watch the full Soorarai Pottru movie to learn about Kongara's 'techniques' before bringing her on-board Thalapathy 65. And once finalized, the movie will most likely be a Pongal, 2021 release.
