Earlier today, we had reported about Income Tax officials questioning actor Vijay for the second day in a row along with estimated seizures made at the locations of Madurai based financier Anbu Chezhiyan and AGS Productions. Now, an official statement from the Income Tax Department reveals that Rs. 77 Cr. was seized from financier Anbu along with documents of property, cheques and alike which they say amount to Rs. 300 Cr+.

However, the documents seized of Bigil's distributor, maintained accounts of AGS Productions and actor Vijay's investment and financial portfolio is only under investigation and nothing odd/ out of the ordinary has been found as of now. Though this looks hopeful of a clean chit for Vijay in the IT raids, one wonders if the actor was unnecessarily dragged in a move targeted at someone else. 

The Income Tax Department which usually does not advertise its every move has openly come out with the developments on Vijay's case and only a few days ago they were seen getting public about their discount of Rajinikanth's income return files. Though the IT dept officials maintain that their moves do not have any political inclination, one cannot help but notice that the names that have been dragged back to back within a short span both have political ambitions.
