Producer Suresh Kamatchi announced today that a few new additions have been made to the cast of STR's Maanaadu and joining this Venkat Prabhu directorial would be Simbu's previous director and collaborator SJ Suryah. Others who will be seen alongside this duo are actors Y.G. Mahendran, Manoj Kumar and Daniel Pope among others.

Interestingly, Manoj Kumar's father-director Bharathi Raja is also a part of this project along with names like S.A. Chandrasekhar, Kalyani Priyan (female lead), Premji Amaren and Karunakaran. Simbu plays a Muslim youngster named Abdul Khaaliq in the movie and the name, as promised was revealed on STR's birthday late last evening.
