Vaibhav starrer RK Nagar is a political comedy film, written and directed by Saravana Rajan of 'Vadacurry' fame. It is bankrolled by Venkat Prabhu's 'Black Ticket' banner along with Badri Kasturi's Shraddha Entertainment. RK Nagar has released directly on digital streaming platform 'Netflix' without having a theatrical release.

The film which was supposed to hit the screens in April 2019 got postponed indefinitely. Venkat Prabhu had then said the film release was postponed for reasons beyond our control. Director Saravana Rajan had also clarified that there are no political undertones in RK Nagar, except for the title. With the film release getting delayed, the makers have opted for OTT release on Netflix and the film is now available on the digital streaming platform. 

The film also stars Sampath, Sana Althaf and Inigo Prabhakaran in important roles and has music by Premgi Amaren.
