It has now been confirmed that actor Siva's upcoming movie Sumo which also stars Priya Anand in the lead will be hitting theater screens for Pongal, 2020 and given Rajinikanth's Darbar is also expected during the holiday, it is going to be a Superstar Vs Agila Ulaga Superstar (a comic tag Siva earned through one of his movies) clash. 

Touted to be an Indo-Japanese film, Sumo is is directed by S.P. Hosimin of February 14 (2005) and Aayiram Vilakku (2011) fame and interestingly, the screenplay and dialogues for the film has been penned by the lead actor.

The movie produced by Vels Film Internarional will also feature ex-sumo champion Yoshinori Tashiro in an important role and has Nivas K Prasanna for music, Rajiv Menon for cinematography.
