Bigi which released in Telugu as Whistle has done good business in AP / TG in its first week. Vijay's film has earned a share of around Rs. 9 cr in 7 days with an estimated gross of Rs. 15-16 cr and is on its way to achieve break-even mark soon. With the film's rights sold for Rs. 10 cr, Atlee's film has recovered 90% of its investments from Week 1.

Bigil has now become the highest grossing film in Vijay's career in Telugu states as it surpassed the total share of Rs. 8.7 cr collected by Sarkar last year. Vijay's career graph in Telugu states shows a steady upward trajectory in the recent years. 

Kaithi which released alongside Whistle as 'Kaidhi' Telugu version has earned a share of Rs. 3.7 cr in 7 days. Karthi's film has turned out to be a profitable venture for its distributors with the film's rights bought for Rs. 3.5 cr.
