As reported by us earlier, Karthi's upcoming prison-break drama has confirmed its release on October 25, 2019 and both the Tamil (Kaithi) and Telugu (Khaidi) versions of the film will be releasing on the same day.

The U/A certified movie is said to come with a run-time of 2 hours 27 minutes and 12 seconds and Karthi will be seen playing Yogeeswaran aka Dilli, a life-convict on-the-run who is trying to meet his daughter for the first time in 10 years.

While Khaidi has no box-office competition as of now, the Tamil Kaithi will be taking on Vijay's Bigil this Diwali which interestingly also confirmed its release date today to be October 25, 2019. Kaithi is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
