Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai which released on August 8 saw a good opening worldwide. In karnataka the film has managed to rake in Rs. 1.07 Cr in its opening day at the box office. 

It is worth mentioning that the film's theatrical rights was sold at  Rs. 2.5 Cr. With the strong word of mouth and steady footfalls at theaters, the trade expects that the film might achieve its break-even in its opening weekend itself. 

Nerkonda Paarvai, a remake of Hindi film Pink has Ajith Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Rangaraj Pandey, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Vidya Balan, Arjun Chidambaram and few more familiar faces in the star-cast. Directed by H Vinoth, the film has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, which is produced by Boney Kapoor for Bayview Project LLP.
