Suriya’s Kaappaan that had initially confirmed its release for August 30 is likely expected to get postponed by one or two weeks from this date. The industry sources mention that KV Anand and his team had actually planned to complete the post-production works on time.

However, it is now said that the process is getting delayed, which might obviously hold over the release to other date. Kaappaan is an espionage thriller featuring Suriya, Mohanlal, Arya and Sayyeshaa in lead roles. Boman Hirani, Samuthirakani and Prem will be seen in important roles.

Produced by Lyca Productions, the film has musical score by Harris Jayaraj. While Suriya will be seen as a first-rank special protection group officer, Mohanlal will be appearing as country’s Prime Minister.
