The Iron Lady & Thalaivi : Updates on two of the three Jayalalitha Biopics!

Former AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s 71st birth anniversary fell recently and on the occasion of the same, director A.L. Vijay announced the title of his upcoming biopic on the late leader.

Titled Thalaivi, the film comes with G.V. Prakash for music, Nirav Shah on cinematography and Anthony for editing and A.L. Vijay is said to have researched for this film ever since it was first announced in August, 2018 by Vibri Media.

On the other hand, The Iron Lady, director Priyadarshini's biopic version of Jayalalitha which stars Nithya Menon in the lead has been officially announced to be releasing on February 2, 2020.

It is worth mentioning here that a third version of the film is also in the making with the title Thaai: Puratchi Thalaivi and Aditya Bharadwaj as the producer. Bharathi Raja is said to be directing this film.
