Jai in Simbu's Maanaadu?

 

Maanaadu which is director Venkat Prabhu's maiden collaboration with actor Simbu is an upcoming political film which was announced in July last year with a title poster.

Latest on the movie is that actor Jai who has worked with Venkat Prabhu in the past in films like Chennai 600028, Goa, Chennai 60002 II and the yet unreleased Party has been roped in for a significant role in it. However, an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made.

Maanadu is a production venture of V house productions and its title poster came with the message, “Stand for what is right even if it means standing alone.” 

The film has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music, Praveen K.L. for the edits and Raashi Khanna is said to have been approached for playing female lead. Reportedly, STR will soon be leaving to Thailand to learn martial arts for the film.
