DD2: Is Dhanush's second directorial back on track?

 

Actor-producer Dhanush kickstarted his second film as director (DD2) in September, 2018 with Thenandal Studios Limited backing the project. But rumours have been rife for a while now that this ambitious project which boasts of a star cast of Nagarjuna, Sarathkumar, SJ Suryah, Aditi Rao Hydari, Srikanth and Dhanush himself has been shelved.

Adding fuel to these rumours was Dhanush announcing Asuran with director Vetrimaaran around Christmas last year, which is currently prepping to go on floors. 

Now, actress Aditi Rao Hydari who is a part of DD2 has shared a picture with her co-star/director Dhanush leading to speculations if DD2 is back on track or was it even shelved in the first place.

It is worth mentioning here that no official announcements regarding the project taking a back seat or being revived has been made till now.
