Madhoo's character not based on Jayalalitha, clears Agni Dev director

 

When the first look poster of Bobby Simha, Madhoo starrer Agni Dev was released recently, there were immediate comparisons between the Roja actress' look in the poster and late CM Jayalalaitha. However, clearing the air on the same, directors John Paul Raj and Sham Surya have stated that the look or the character in is no way modeled on the former AIADMK leader.
 
They have further asserted that such a look for Madhoo was given as the actress looks younger for her age and her role demanded that she looked much older.
 
Agni Dev will see Bobby Simha and Madhoo indulge in a cat and mouse race, with the latter playing the antagonist in the film. The film is based on a novel by Rajesh Kumar and is a joint production venture of Seantoa Studio and Jai Film Productions.
