Anurag Kashyap & his never-ending bond with Vada Chennai

 

Roughly three years ago this time, media reports unearthed a fact that it was Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap who suggested to Vetrimaaran that he make Vada Chennai in more than one part. Kashyap who had been in touch with Vetrimaaran ever since Aadukalam had told the latter to 'write how much ever he wants and then decide whether the story could be told in one part or two or more.'

Vada Chennai has since become a trilogy with part 2 mostly shot during part 1 and Anurag has been even more associated with Tamil movies, having acted in one himself (Imaikka Nodigal). So it comes as no surprise when Kashyap roots vociferously for Vada Chennai part 1, with words of praises for the whole team.
 

Kashyap even held special screening of the film for the audience of Mumbai that even they have caught up with Vada Chennai with subtitles:
