Seema Raja starring Siva Karthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles directed by Ponram hit the screens worldwide on September 13. The film which carried a lot of pre-release hype failed to meet the expectations of the audience. Despite having a phenomenal opening at the Box Office, it fetched mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike.
The poor word-of-mouth affected the film's performance at the Box Office to a great extent. Seema Raja also marks Siva Karthikeyan's first ever Box office failure in his otherwise rising career. The film after ending its theatrical run has done average business. Despite Box Office failure, the film is now the third highest grossing film this year next to Kaala (Rs. 57 cr) and Kadaikutty Singam (Rs. 52 cr). It also marks Siva Karthikeyan's third highest grosser next to Velaikkaran (Rs. 57 cr) and Remo (Rs. 49.5 cr)
Siva Karthikeyan's film grossed Rs. 48.5 cr and made a nett earning of Rs. 24 cr in Tamil Nadu where its theatrical rights were sold for Rs. 30 cr. It has grossed around Rs. 66 cr worldwide with an estimated nett share of Rs. 34-35 cr. The film has failed to achieve break even in all the territories it released and has turned out to be a loss venture for the distributors. The producers of the film have recovered their investment through pre-release sales of theatrical and non-theatrical rights. Here's the territory wise Box Office Collection of the film.

Kerala - Rs. 1.1 cr
Karnataka - Rs. 2.4 cr
