The film is general is also said to throw light on how politicians deal with the gangster world.

Vada Chennai will see Dhanush in the role of Anbu, an ambitious carrom champion living amongst the fishing community of North Chennai and the story is about how he manages after inadvertently getting involved with gangsters.
