Actor Vishal is celebrating his 41st birthday today (August 29). Vishal's latest outing Irumbu Thirai directed by debutant P.S.Mithran has successfully completed 100 days of its theatrical run. A grand event has been organised at Kalaivanar Arangam to celebrate the success of the film.
On the occasion of his birthday, Vishal has announced that he will be converting his fan clubs into welfare organisations and henceforth they will be called as “Makkal Nala Iyakkam”( People Welfare Association). The flag will be unveiled today at Irumbu Thirai 100 days function.
Following the likes of Kamal Hassan (Kamal Narpani Iyakkam), Rajinikanth (Rajini Makkal Mandram) and Vijay (Vijay Makkal Iyakkam), Vishal has united all his fan clubs under the name Makkal Nala Iyakkam. Vishal is making a step further into politics by this announcement.
Vishal’s urge to venture into politics is not quite new. He had already filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the by-poll to the RK Nagar constituency in Chennai. Unfortunately his nomination papers were rejected and Vishal had then said, "The next Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu would be a game-changer. I am not talking as a politician here. I am talking as a representative of the people. I have seen things happen for the few years. I have been seeing people wanting a change”. Going by his words, looks like Vishal is gearing up to take the political plunge soon.
