Actress Samantha's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual U Turn, which is a remake of 2016's Kannada hit film of the same name, was earlier speculated to be releasing during Vinayagar Chaturthi weekend after producer Dhananjayan announced a September, 2018 release. Now Dhananjayan has confirmed that the film will release on September 13, after getting a clearance from TFPC.

Bankrolled by Srinivaasa Silver Screen, U Turn will see Samantha Akkineni playing an intern with a leading news-daily who sets on to uncover the truth behind mysterious deaths on a busy road. The film also starrs Narain of Anjathe, Mugamoodi fame, Aadi Pinisetty and Rahul Ravindran among others.

The film will be clashing with Siva Karthikeyan's Seema Raja and Karthik Naren's Naragasooran at the Box Office.
