Despite Kamal Haasan indicating that it will be a while before he begins Indian 2 with director Shankar, developments about the film do not cease to crop up. Latest news on the block is that Indian 2 will begin shooting from December, 2018 comfortably after the release of Shankar's 2.0, and as though to support this theory, Shankar and Indian 2's cinematographer Ravi Varman were recently seen location hunting on a helicopter.







Word also has it that Kamal Haasan will try and complete his long-pending project of Sabaash Naidu by that time. Lyca Productions will be seen producing Indian 2, which will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, art by Muthuraj and lyrics by Thamarai. Actress Nayanthara will be seen playing the female lead in this movie, thus making her first collaboration with both the actor and director.



Though not much is known about Indian 2's story, in a recent interview Kamal Haasan revealed that Shankar worked on Indian 2 after seeing Haasan hint about his political entry in his speeches, a year ago.
