Hansika's 50th film has been titled Maha. The title of the film was announced by Dhanush on his Twitter page. Haniska earlier planned to announce the title of her milestone 50th film on her birthday (August 9). As a mark of respect to the departed DMK leader Kalaignar Karunanidhi who passed away on Tuesday (Aug 7), the film title announcement was postponed to Saturday.

The film will be directed by debutant UR Jameel who has worked as an assistant director in films like Bogan and Romeo Juliet. Ghibran is scoring the music and the film will be bankrolled by Mathiyalagan.
