Producer CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainment who has produced films like Pizza, Soodhu Kavvum, Enakkul Oruvan, Irudhi Suttru to name a few made his directorial debut with Maayavan. The film, touted to be a crime mystery thriller, starring Sandeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi in lead roles, hit the screens December 14, 2017. The film received good reviews and had a decent run at the Box Office.

CV Kumar has now announced his second directorial venture titled Gangs of Madras. He has started work on the film with the music recording. The announcement was made on the official Twitter handle of Thirukumaran Entertainment.

Gangs of Madras is written and directed by CV Kumar. The technical team includes Karthik Kumar for cinematography, Hari Dafusia for music, Rad Krish for editing. The details of the cast is yet to be announced.
