Indian 2 , one of the highly anticipated sequels of Tamil cinema will see Kamal Haasan and director Shankar reuniting after 22 years since the prequel Indian. If one may recall, the 1996 movie ended with the older Kamal Haasan, who punished corruption through killing escaping to overseas, after hoodwinking the Indian police and legal system. Now, it is being said that the sequel will see the return of that character to played by Kamal Haasan and will also have a pivotal character which is that of a Chief Minister. It is also being said that the team of Indian 2 is on the lookout for a prominent young actor to share screen space alongside Haasan. 

An industry source also adds that Indian 2 will be a mix of its prequel and director Shankar's other film Mudhalvan, which interestingly also has the Chief Minister factor as a major element. Looks like Indian 2 will indeed be a big political bang for Kamal Haasan, who is already treading the world of politics along with cinema. 

Lyca Productions will be seen producing Indian 2, which will have music by Anirudh Ravichander and lyrics by Thamarai.
