Besides the good opening in USA, Rajinikanth starrer Kaala has had a fantastic start in the overseas location of Australia too. The film has debuted at No.5 at the Australian box office, collecting approximately Rs. 1.06 crore (gross) in just 2 days. Kaala is directed by Pa. Ranjith and also starrs Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Easwari Rao among others. The film is produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films in association with Lyca Productions and has Santhosh Narayanan for music.
