Happy news for Superstar fans in Karnataka. Rajinikanth's Kaala hit the screens yesterday (June 7) worldwide except in Karnataka. The film finally will be releasing today in Karnataka. The online ticket bookings for Kaala has been opened from yesterday night in single screens and multiplexes in Bangalore. According to sources, all three versions of the film will be released in Karnataka and will have a full-fledged release in the state today. 

Kaala directed by Pa. Ranjith has received positive response from audience and critics alike. The film release was stalled in Karnataka as several pro-Kannada outfits threatened violence if the film released in the state citing Rajinkanth's statement over Cauvery issue had hurt the sentiment of Kannadigas. The makers had moved Karnataka High Court to clear all hurdles and release the film in the state and also to provide security to the theatres screening Karnataka.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy had said that it was not the right time to release Kaala though he will stand by the Court's order and do the needful actions. However the film did not release yesterday as expected. The film which was screened in few of the theatres was also stopped due to protests from pro-Kannada outfits. The film will have a full-fledged release in Karnataka today.
