Indian 2 :Shankar, Ravi Varman give the film a flying start in Taiwan!

Director Shankar shared a video snippet on Republic day that showed him along with cinematographer Ravi Varman release a floating lamp in Taiwan. The floating lamp read "Indian 2 in Taiwan" and is supposed to be symbolic of 'Indian 2' project 'taking off'. Fans and media reports have already started reading in between the lines and have come up with suggestions behind Taiwan in particular. Kamal Haasan’s original character in the prequel Indian, was shown to be a part of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s army during the freedom struggle. In real life, since Bose's alleged death is connected to a plane crash in Taiwan, the choice of place is not being seen as a mere coincidence.

Indian 2 is produced by Lyca Productions and has art director Muthuraj handling the production design. B. Jeyamohan who has worked with Shankar in 2.0 and Kamal Haasan in Papanaasam is penning the dialogues of this film.
