At the launch of his web series, actor Madhavan confirmed that his most talked about film of last year, Vikram Vedha is definitely being remade in 2018. At the media interaction, he was quoted as saying, "Vikram Vedha is definitely being remade this year and that’s for sure.” The Pushkar-Gayathri directorial released in July last year to rave reviews, thanks to its riveting screenplay.
Though Madhavan remained diplomatic about his choice of cast and said he would like “Someone with a lot of market value” to be cast in the film, he also maintained that he is not sure as to whether or not the Hindi edition would have him. Despite reports that Shah Rukh Khan liked the movie and wanted to play Vedha's character in the remake, his team has clarified that the King Khan doesn't want to repeat a grey role with which one finally ends up sympathising.
On the work front, Madhavan will be seen alongside Naga Chaitanya in Savyasachi in Telugu, as a rocket scientist in Chanda Mama Door Ke in Hindi and a possible Gautham Menon multi-starrer in Tamil.
