TN Boxoffice: Velaikkaran grosses more than 50 CR; remains steady!

Velaikkaran has held on very well till now in TN. After 11 days in running, the film has reportedly touched the 50 CR gross mark in the state which is a fantastic result for hero Sivakarthikeyan. He most certainly commands a place in the Top4 heroes list in Tamil cinema now.

In Chennai city, the film has grossed 7.51 CR after 11 days. After Baahubali2, Mersal and Vivegam, it's Velaikkaran next in the list of top Chennai city grossers in 2017 as it would've crossed Vikram Vedha's city collections today.

Though the run has been solid and steady, Velaikkaran still hasn't reached the breakeven mark in TN due to the high selling rate. It may fall short ultimately as the final lifetime TN gross may fold under the 60 CR mark. The film has to gross more than 70 CR in TN to be commercially viable!
