News about Indian 2 has been gearing up momentum as the film's former producer Dil Raju, who was already speculated to have dropped out of the project, recently confirmed in a press interview that he is no longer involved in the Shankar directed sequel. He has cited heavy remunerations of the cast and crew to be the reason for his decision. It is worth mentioning here that Lyca Productions was earlier said to have replaced Dil Raju as the official producers of this Kamal Haasan starrer.
 
Immediately after the announcement of Indian 2 there were reports about Anirudh being roped in for the project as the music director which was later denied by the team. Now, sources close to the film confirm that Anirudh has indeed been brought on board and added that art director T. Muthuraj too has been confirmed as a part of the technical crew. If one may recall, cinematographer Ravi Varman was last said to be a part of this movie which is titled Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu; An official confirmation on the same is still awaited.
