Recently, we reported about Prabhu Deva's film of 2002, Charlie Chaplin gearing up for a sequel titled Charlie Chaplin 2 ( read about it here ). Latest we hear on the project is that actor cum writer Crazy Mohan, who is known for his impeccable comical write-ups, will be penning the dialogues of this sequel. The team of Charlie Chaplin 2 is also planning on beginning a song shoot in Goa, following which the film's shooting is expected to take place in either December, 2017 or January, 2018.
 
Also the story of the film is said to revolve around one person, as opposed to two in the prequel. Prabhu Deva will be seen playing both Charlie and Chaplin and a confusion over his identity is what snowballs in to the rest of the movie. It is worth mentioning here that since the original Charlie Chaplin came out in Tamil, it has been remade into 6 other languages. Will the success repeat for the sequel is something we have to wait and watch.
