AR Murugadoss's long-time associate Venkat Mohan will be wielding the megaphone for the Tamil remake of the Telugu film Temper. If one may recall, a long while ago producer Tagore Madhu had announced that he will be co-producing the Tamil remake along with the original producer BandhlaGanesh. He had even confirmed that Vishal will be playing a lead role in the film and that the shooting will commence in the second half of 2017. Now, with the director being confirmed, the film is expected to begin shooting in a couple of months with actress Kajal Aggarwal most likely to play the female lead. 

It is worth mentioning that Kajal had played the lead in the original as well and she was earlier almost roped in for what was thought to be a Tamil remake of the same film with Simbu, director Vijay Chander and producer Michael Rayappan. However, that project was dropped since Madhu had already acquired the Tamil remake rights of the film.
