The Kerala theatrical rights of Kaatru Veliyidai has been sold

The team of director Mani Ratnam's highly promising upcoming bilingual Kaatru Veliyidai (Cheliyaa in Telugu), made an exicitng announcement about the movie's theatrical rights recently. Confirming their partnership, the team revealed that the Kerala distribution rights of the film has been sold to popular producer-distributor-exhibitor Shibu Thameens. With this announcement, Thameens has joined the existing list of distributors - Sri Thenandal Films (Tamil) and Sri Venkateshwara Creations (Telugu), of the film.

With music by AR Rahman, KaatruVeliyidai starrs Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead and has originally been produced by the director's home banner Madras Talkies. The movie is all set for a grand theatrical release on April 7, 2017.
