Kaashmora and Kodi Box Office Reports

In spite of the mixed reviews, Karthi's Kaashmora managed to emerge on top of the box office table, thanks to Karthi's family-oriented market and director Gokul's last film being a super hit. The movie had grossed around Rs 15 crore in Tamil Nadu during the opening weekend. The movie has also been doing well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and has grossed around Rs 10 crore from the opening weekend.

Dhanush is pinning his hopes on Kodi to set the cash register ringing at the box office. Although the movie was the Diwali winner content wise, the gross collection stood at Rs 12-13 crore from the opening weekend in Tamil Nadu. Also, trade analysts reveal that the movie has fared poorly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. With both the movies not really having a flying start, it would be interesting to see if they hold on during the weekdays.
