Over the weekend, the customized twitter emojis for actor Vijay's upcoming movie Beast were activated and they pop-up under the hashtags - #Beast, #BeastMovie and #BeastModeON on the micro-blogging platform

Beast is scheduled to release in theaters on April 13, 2022 and it is the fourth Vijay starrer to get its own twitter emoji after Mersal (2017), Bigil (2019) and Master (2021).

Using special Twitter emojis for promotions was pioneered by the Vijay starrer Mersal not just in the Tamil film industry, but among the whole of South Indian movies. Saaho (2019) and Minnal Murali (2021) were the first Telugu and Malayalam films (respectively) to jump on this trend years later.

A hostage thriller, Beast is scheduled to release in theaters on April 13, 2022 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi (as RAW). The movie is produced by Sun Pictures, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and has Anirudh for music.
